about the director

Francesco Erice graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelors of Music in Music Education. During his time at East Carolina, Mr. Erice played trombone in the Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Band, Marching Pirates, Pep Band, and various brass quartets. Mr. Erice interned at West Craven Middle School in New Bern, NC, and Northside High School in Jacksonville, NC. 

Mr. Erice is a member of several associations, including the National Association for Music Educators, the North Carolina Band Master Association, and the North Carolina Association of Educators. He is also an alumnus of Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the local community while promoting equality, diversity, and music appreciation. 

Mr. Erice was recently Teacher of the Year at Toisnot Middle School, nominated for a David Simon Award for Beginning Teacher of the Year by Wilson County Schools, and was nominated for Favorite Music Instructor by The Wilson Times. Currently, Mr. Erice is in his fifth year of teaching and is the new Band Director at East Millbrook Magnet Middle School - Academy of the Visual and Performing Arts!
